On 3 September 2018, the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, in collaboration with the Office of the Commercial Affairs, Nairobi, organized a Business-to-Business (B2B) Meeting between Thai and Kenyan companies at the Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi. 20 Thai companies participated in the B2B meeting including food products & beverage, auto parts and accessories, construction materials and hardware, agricultural equipment and machinery and electrical appliances. Various Kenyan businesses and companies attended the B2B meeting throughout the day.

For the opening session of the Meeting, the Royal Thai Embassy invited Mr. Raphael Agung, Head of Treasury, Commercial Bank of Africa, to give the overview of the Kenyan economy as well as trade and investment opportunities in the country and in the region.
